We hope you're all having a lovely Summer break, but with the new term rapidly approaching it's nearly time to get back to business...

Here's what the Friends Committee is currently working on:

* Funded proposal for a memorial plaque and buried time-capsule to mark 150 years of East Greenwich Pleasaunce. We're currently liaising with the Council over siting and format.

* Arranging a meeting with Mike Neill, formerly head of the Liveability Project, to find out the latest on the Pleasaunce Cafe plans. We're very concerned and somewhat disheartended about the delay on this project. At one time we were assured that building work would have started by late Summer for completion in the Autumn. We'll keep you posted.

* Planning our pre-Christmas festivities in the park, probably to include carol singing, mulled wine, minced pies etc...Date to be announced.
